Dr. Gordon Huang is the Canada Research Chair of Energy and Environment, Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering, President of International Society for Environmental Information Sciences, Executive Director of Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainability Communities and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Environmental Informatics. Dr. Huang is also affiliated with the University of Regina as Faculty of Department of Engineering and Applied Science. A total of 77 students completed their Master's degree studies at the University of Regina under his supervision. He has over 200 Research Grants and is guiding numerous research projects.

Daniele De Wrachien is currently Retired Professor of Agricultural Hydraulics at the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of the State University of Milan and Member of the Board of Director of the Wessex Institute of Technology (WIT), Southampton, UK. He graduated from the State University of Milan as geologist and obtained his PhD in Advanced Engineering Geology. He performed his duties as, Director of the Institute of Agricultural Hydraulics (2000-2006), Director of Computer Centre of the Faculty of Agriculture,(1992-95), Tutor of MPhil and PhD students of the Faculty of Agriculture, External Examiner to MPhil and PhD students, Visiting Professor at the Wessex Institute of Technology (WIT).

Zabihollah (Zabi) Rezaee is currently the Thompson-Hill Chair of Excellence, tenured Professor of Accounting, and School of Accountancy PhD coordinator at the University of Memphis. He served a two-year term (2004-2006) on the Standing Advisory Group (SAG) of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and he is currently (2019-2023) the editor of the Journal of Forensic Accounting Research, one of the journals of the American Accounting Association (AAA). He is currently appointed as the Honorary Advisor of the Financial Reporting Council in Hong Kong (December 2019-September 2021). He received his BS degree from the Iranian Institute of Advanced Accounting, his MBA from Tarleton State University in Texas, and his PhD from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Rezaee’s areas of teaching are: Accounting Systems Applications, Business Sustainability, Corporate Governance, Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Statement Analysis, Forensic Accounting, Internal/External Auditing, International and Managerial Accounting, Organizational Ethics, and seminars at undergraduate, graduate, Executive and International MBA, and PhD levels.

Andrey V Brazhnikov was born in Kostroma, Russia, on October 28, 1959. He is presently an Associate Professor of the Department of Electrotechnology and Electrical Engineering, Polytechnic Institute, Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk, Russia) and a Professor of the Russian Academy of Natural History. He had his graduation in Electrical Engineering from the Krasnoyarsk Polytechnical Institute (Krasnoyarsk, Russia) in 1982 (major in Automatics and Telemechanics, Honors Degree). He received Ph.D. degree in Electromechanics from the Tomsk Polytechnical Institute (Tomsk, Russia) in 1985. In 1991-1995 he was the Russian Manager of two international (Russian-Bulgarian) research projects in the field of multiphase inverter-fed AC electric drives. In 2019 he was a Visiting Professor of Munich Technical University (TUM), Munich, Germany. Now he has more than 200 published research works and inventions.

Dr Joaquín R Domínguez has a degree (1996) and a PhD (2000) in Chemistry from the University of Extremadura, Spain, both with honors and obtaining the University research excellence prize 2001. In the period 1997-2000, he held a MEC FPU Predoctoral Fellowship with a Predoctoral stay (2000) at the "Instituto Superior Tecnico", Lisbon (Portugal). In 2001 he gained a position as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Extremadura. In December 2007, he became an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Physics. His research interests focus on water and wastewater treatment, micropollutants and emerging contaminants removal from water using advanced oxidation processes, AOPs, (ozone, Fenton's reagent, hydrogen peroxide, persulphate, UV and VIS radiation. From 2007, he centred his efforts on two new lines: electrochemical treatment (anodic electro oxidation of pollutants using boron-doped electrodes) and sonochemical oxidation by ultrasonic waves. He has actively participated in 22 research projects or Grants within Environment Engineering Area, more specifically. He is the Chairman of the annually "International Conference on Water, Waste and Energy Management (WWEM)" from 2015. He has co-authored about 70 papers, 9 book chapters, and 6 scientific books about his research, obtaining an h-index = 27 (WoS). He has directed or co-directed 45 advanced research works, including 40 B.Sc. and 5 PhD Thesis. He has also presented about 80 Communications in National and International Scientific Congresses.
